Hello! Nice to meet you!
 

My name is Katrin Ignatova and I'm an LA-based Bulgarian Story Artist and Revisionist with almost 4 years of experience in both feature and series. I specialize in comedy, but I also love drama, musicals, and action. I've worked at studios, such as Netflix, Apartment D, Nickelodeon Animation, and most recently, an EU co-production feature film in development at M.A.R.K. 13.

I grew up watching classic Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry cartoons with my dad, as well as tons of animated and live-action films with my mom, so you could say I got the best of both worlds. Those are some of the best memories from my childhood in early 00s Bulgaria, and it clearly had a strong impact not only on my style and sense of humor as a story artist, but also in general, since I decided to pursue animation as a career when I was in 6th grade.

I graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Computer Animation and a minor in Film Studies. I made a classic slapstick cartoon-inspired musical short called Duck Lake as my thesis project there, which went on to win numerous awards in Film Festivals worldwide.

While not busy with work, you can find me reading about paleontology, trying out different brands of coffee, hiking, and spending time with family.
